THE ULTIMATE
" Beahm joined Sledgehammer Games on March. 16, 2011 — the game development company responsible for multiple Call of Duty titles — as its community manager. "I mean the only thing that really made sense to me, possibly become and community manager."
But even in this new path in his life, it was the Doctor that built his name in the gaming community to bolster his application at Sledgehammer http://emu-forum.com/gaming-on-a-200-macbook/. "My experiences that I've gained in the creation of the Doctor character from a social media perspective, in terms of growing the Twitter and the Facebook and how to grow a YouTube channel, how to read feedback, engage with your fans your audience. And at the same time, to be able to be involved in all of this, and understand video games. It just made sense." After some time as community manager, Beahm was promoted to level designer for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, where he participated in the development of seven of the maps in the game. "I designed half the maps for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, multiplayer and also helped create a lot of the high level pillars for the studio." During his time at Sledgehammer guy created a Justin.tv account and tried streaming a few times as the Doc. Now, as you might imagine, when you’ve built a personality as more or less a a second version of yourself like Guy Beahm did with DrDisrespect, it’s kind of a challenge to keep that guy locked away. So, in 2015 Guy Beahm quit his job at Sledgehammer, and unleashed Dr. Disrespect "Hello!" It began with some Youtube warnings about his return. "I'm Dr. DisRespect, and as you know we've been away from the YouTube community for quite a while now but, I'm here to tell you. I'm back, and I ain't messin around." And then on March 21, 2016 — the man we’ve come to know as the Face of Twitch began streaming full-time. "The Doctor's been preparing himself, for his re entrance into the online gaming community." Maybe more than any other streamer, Doc’s popularity skyrocketed with the development of the Battle Royale format. Doc was given early access to H1Z1, the zombie-themed Battle Royale that was the first of the genre to make headway. And it’s here where Doc’s love for BRs began. They were challenging, had enough down-time to support streaming and he could make his signature bad-mouthing a big part of his play-style. (Stream) "Cause I like to remind these little chubby cheek wannabe unathletic pigeon toed sprinting gamers what the two-time's all about." (Stream) While streaming H1Z1, Doc was averaging around 5- to 10 thousand viewers at a time and his stream was growing rapidly. But, if H1Z1 was the surprising-opener of DrDisrespect’s jumping into streaming celebration, Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds was the main attraction. It’s hard to understate the impact that PUBG had on the streaming landscape. BRs, and specifically PUBG rewarded streamers with flashy highlights and clippable moments for maximum social media content. And to that extent, PUBG and DrDisrespect couldn’t be a better match. (Stream) During the summer of 2017, Doc’s average viewership reached as high as 30,000. He had acquired his nickname as “the face of Twitch.” and received industry awards for both streamer of the year and gamer of the year. The internet, Twitch, gaming and DrDisrespect were now synonymous. "Let's climb the mountain, let's dominate. Violence, speed, and momentum. And guess what, we're at the tippity top of the mountain. But we're really only half way up." "Let's do it baby. Thank you. Thank you. He dawned a thick moustache and dollar store sunglasses — and people loved it. (Stream) But the one day, Guy Beahm broke character. "As you guys know I have a beautiful family. And a wife and kid. I want to be transparent that I've been unfaithful." His admission was of course devoid of the pompous charisma of the doctor and featured bashfulness far-removed from the usual attitude that people have come to expect from the Twitch channel. "And I'm probably gonna be taking some time away. Time off." So after his short frank admission of guilt. Dr. DisRespect left Twitch.

Well, as they were doing so, they found an ancient Necropolis, or a massive cemetery. This always happens in Athens and in Rome so for them, it’s not really that big of a deal. A lot of them are just frustrated because of all the delays! The archaeologists were called in and they started exploring. Eventually, someone stumbled onto a hidden part of the Necropolis, a room that held over 80 skeletons in it that were long-dead, and each one of them was shackled. In fact, some of the corpses were shackled twice.
Adding to the intrigue was that scientists determined that these people, whoever they were, were very young when they were bound and killed. How did they die https://casinoslots-sa.co.za/online-casinos? That's unclear, but there is historical text that says this could have been a band of rebels trying to overthrow the leadership of Athens, but again, it's been so long it's very hard to say for sure. However, there's a lot of mysteries to go along with this. Why were they shackled AFTER their death? Why were they put in this hidden room? These questions will likely never be answered. 9. Pit Of Death Speaking of unanswered questions, this pit raises plenty more of them. In France, another construction project led to the discovery of something heinous and foul. A literal pit that was over six feet deep and five feet wide. But it’s not called the pit of death for nothing. Inside the pit were numerous bodies. As sad as it sounds, it gets worse. There were bodies of all kinds of people: men, women, children, infants all within the pit. Add to that, some of the bones didn't have a proper host, suggesting there were even more within it. Still not enough? Some of the bodies were amputated, or dismembered. The really sad thing though, aside from the mass death, was that these bodies had been in the ground for over 5300 years, and only got discovered in 2012. That's a long time to be stuck in a pit like that. If the last few entries have proven anything, it's that history isn't always pretty. It can be downright gruesome. 8. Vampire Burials Fear is a powerful thing. It can lead people to do things they would never do of their own rational mind. And it can cause them to fear things that are truly irrational. The fear of vampires were a real thing for a long time in the ancient world, and the thought that the dead could rise again and come for blood made many take "precautions" in order to protect themselves. The Polish for example decided to take their precautions to rather unsettling levels. If a person died, and people thought they would come back as a vampire, they would be buried with the proper "precautions" to ensure they couldn't rise again, or cause trouble if they did. For example, some people were buried with sickles around their necks, likely to chop off the head should they try to get up. Others had massive stones wedged between their jaws so that if they rose they couldn’t suck out people's blood. People do strange things when they fear what goes bump in the night. 7. The Moa Under The Mountain Exploration is key in finding archaeological artifacts, but sometimes even the most hardened of archaeologists can't predict everything they would find. And this particular one is one for the history books. New Zealand, 1986, a group went to Mount Owen to examine and observe the underground complex of tunnels that lied beneath the mountain. As they were exploring though, they found a large pile of bones. Nothing out of the ordinary in context, but, they found something very fresh next to it. A massive claw that didn't look like anything living today. Turns out, the freshly decayed claw belonged to an ancient bird call the Upland Moa. This bird was flightless, but given the size of its claw, was clearly a threat to many. From shackled skulls to books that are literally wrapped in human skin, there have been things found by archaeologists that will chill you to the bone! Here are 12 of the most terrifying archaeological discoveries ever. 12. Headless Gladiators Let's start off with a combat one. In York, England, a large set of skeletal remains were found buried. This isn't too bad on their own, however, when the remains were fully uncovered, they found that every single person that was buried there was missing their head.
What's more, they were buried with their heads alongside them, which made it even more odd, and scary. After some research and study, scientists dated the bodies back to around the second and fourth centuries, A.D. which lead to speculation that these might have been gladiators. This theory was supported when when the bones of the victims were shown to have clear battle wounds. Other people believe that they could have been soldiers, but it's impossible to tell either way. No matter what they did for a living, this raises a very disturbing question. Regardless of whether they were soldiers or gladiators, why were they decapitated then buried with their heads? It's clear that they weren't thrown in, the heads I mean, they were placed in specific spots from body to body. Which says that they were buried there with care and detail, but to what end? The archaeologists are just as confused as we are. 11. Screaming Mummies Sticking with the past in a big way, let's talk about mummies. They're a well-documented part of archaeology, and some of the biggest discoveries in history have been finding mummies and their crypts and tombs and discovering who they were and what they did. The process to examine these former rulers, like Tutankhamun is extensive, as doing it the wrong way will cause the body to disintegrate...The mummy's, not the archaeologist although there are some curses around that they should watch out for! However, a trend was discovered back in 1886 in regards to improper mummification that surely scared the crap out of the archaeologist at the time. For he discovered...a screaming mummy. Of course it wasn’t alive and screaming, but rather, the pose and posture of the mummy made it look like it was screaming. Can you imagine brushing the dirt off of its face and its mouth close up while it’s frozen in a scream? This naturally lead to much speculation as to how this mummy ended up this way! Was he buried alive? In pain? Well, apparently, it's all about following procedure. When we die, our body gets rigid, the process called Rigor Mortis. However, after a while our body relaxes, and allows itself to rest. This is no different with mummies, and because of that, if the jaw isn't fastened shut, (which is a practice in proper mummification), it will go slack, and fall open. And without skin or muscles to give context, it looks like a screaming mummy. Despite being explained by science, it would still be creepy as heck if you turned around and saw one staring at you!! And now for number 10, but first if you are a returning subscriber, welcome back!!! Glad to see you again!! Can any of you identify this noise?? Put your guess in the comments below! The answer is coming up!!! 10. Shackled Corpses History is written by the victors, and because of that, the "dirty little secrets" of societies and their rulers have to be dug up and found. One such secret of the ancient Greeks was found in 2016 in Athens. They were trying to dig up ground to make some new buildings. Nothing wrong with that, right? It's really unlike anything else, because you really can't fully even begin to absorb it until you're actually here.
- One thing that really boggled my mind is the timeline of human history. - Like, Mitochondrial Eve might have lived over 100,000 years ago. And while we've evolved so much throughout the years, this land is still very much present. - We went to Kenya and like, that is one piece of where she could have lived, Mitochondrial Eve. And like, Sub-Saharan Africa in itself is huge. And we just saw a small part of something even huger. Just very grateful for everything we saw and did, because what an amazing time. - Something that really struck me in Nairobi was when Dr. Mbua was explaining to us that people from different continents just sort of arose from that continent. But with further studying and learning about haplogroups, we learned that everyone did indeed come from Africa. - The human species is on the one hand, very diverse. But on the other hand, if you compare it to other species like chimpanzees, we are very not diverse. We are all incredibly similar, genetically speaking. And so it's really popular these days to find out where you're from, to look at your genetics. And we comb through it to find these tiny differences that can say, oh, maybe your ancestors came from this place, or yours came from this place. But the bigger picture is that humans are so similar genetically. And it is actually really difficult to find those small differences. - I've never been overseas ever in my life. So this is something that I'm really excited to check off my bucket list. And even more excited to do it with you guys. - We're very grateful to 23andMe for sending us out there. Also very grateful for them for sending you, because could not have had a better new friend. - Big thank you to everyone that made it happen. It was so much bigger than just us. And thank you to the people of Kenya, because they've been so welcoming, and really just embraced what we were trying to do. - A deep dive into the origins of modern humanity. - Lady tested. - Lady learned. - Woo! Let's go in the ocean. - Bye. Let's jump in! - Gonna swim back home. - Game mechanics! - Game mechanics, yeah! Everyone loves game mechanics. It's a word that's thrown out all the time- phrase or whatever, right?
What is a game mechanic? Anybody? No. No one even raised their hand. One guy is trying but we're not going to let him answer. I mean, in a first person shooter, like is shooting a mechanic Oncasinogames? Is gun collection a mechanic? Is just an entire game a mechanic? What if I play a game and that game determines who plays the next game? Right? So, what is a game mechanic? The fact is; if you look on the internet, if you try to look at research, books and Wikipedia, right? The definitions for game mechanic are so vague as to include so many unrelated things or they're so varied that you can't tell which one is the right one. I've seen things like: dice is a game mechanic. Like, I guess so? It's not that interesting to talk about just dice as a game mechanic. Right. But something else, like physics could be a game mechanic, if it's some sort of crazy physics game, right? Or even like Half Life 2. I mean, physics is a game mechanic in Half Life 2. The puzzles, you know? There's a levering board, and you've got to stand on it, and then walk up it. Or sometimes an entire game could be a mechanic of another game. So, it's: how do you really talk about game mechanics if you can't really separate them into any particular category, right? So, for the purpose of this discussion and at least in my mind, I see a game mechanic as- and this is a tabletop theater also, so we're going to focus on tabletop but of course it applies to all games, right? Is a set of rules that sort of form a new rule unto themselves, right? So, if you really break a game down into these smallest bits, like the rules of rolling dice would be like; pick up the die, shake it up a bunch, throw it, look at it, the number of dots that is face up is this number, right? But at the same time there's the distinction. I mean, there are actions that you take in the course of a game, that aren't mechanical, in the sense that they don't affect the game. The fact that I have to look at the value on the die isn't a mechanic. Like, if I forget to look at it, I don't get to move in Monopoly. That's not how it works. But for example, rolling a die and then moving a guy forward is a set of rules. You roll the die and then you move, right? It's a set of rules that create this mechanic of: roll your dice, move your mice. And we can just tell people, "Hey, in this game you roll your dice, move your mice." We don't need to explain all these sub-rules of that. It's a mechanic. It's a combination of rules that form a mechanism, that is a piece of a larger game. So, let us explore some many game mechanics. And for each game mechanic, we're going to tell you A: if you're a player, what you should do when you encounter this game mechanic. And B: if you're a game maker, when you should use it, how you should use it, and how you should think about it. All right? So, the number one most obvious game mechanic in the entire universe is: taking turns. Now, this might seem self-evident but really it's not. The idea of taking turns is not in all games and it's not even that intuitive. Yeah, look at soccer. Do you take turns in soccer? No, you just play for a long time and then it's over. Meanwhile, football... Football, you take turns. I mean, one team's turn is to be on offense. There's a way to interrupt that turn but it is their turn to score. Volleyball? It's my turn to score - as opposed to your turn. - Yeah, and turn it. There's so many variations on taking turns. It could be everyone takes a simultaneous turn, it could be we go around in a circle taking turns, it could be the turn order changes, it could be one person takes a bunch of turns, Look at baseball, you have a bunch of turns on one team, then a bunch of turns on the other team. It's crazy all over the place. Is casino a good business option? This question is being asked these days witnessing cities like Las Vegas or Atlantic City or Reno. Each of these cities is recognized all over the globe for entertainment and gambling and without doubt, general excess and the question is whether the same can be initiated by you too. Well, both the question and answer are tough, for the reason that it is not everyone’s cup of tea. There is not only the need of good initial investments but of a great endeavor on your part also. Remember that the first and foremost focus of any casino is on profit; as a result the tasks are wide-ranging and various.
How can a casino be made money-spinning and attention-grabbing? You have to include lots of activities into it and these include gambling, restaurants, hotels. After all the casino has to be the best refuge for an individual! On the other hand the saga of gambling or even casino consists of a range of card games, machines and table games and each one should be modern and to profit more, you have to modernize it from time to time. Never forget that you’re not the only one to think in this way. Lots of persons wish for to garner profit; the competition is intense hence and gets heightened with the passing of each day. There is also the usual involvement of lots of manpower and a casino is also subjected to local tax (in high amounts), being a legitimate and licensed organization. Periodical auditing known for ascertaining the continuation of the license is also important and you have to do the same. If you are apt to do all these, success is yours. Where can the casinos be set up? Try to focus on far-famed spots or states like Nevada and New Jersey, becoming famous holiday spots increasingly. These two states are no more gambling hubs and hence, the changing reality must be taken advantage of. Have painstaking knowledge and information along with vigor from the beginning. Tecmo’s Dead or Alive has the ability to separate itself from the fighting genre in a way never seen before.
It first generated attention for its affection for the female form (T A) in fighting glory. Choosing to eschew more mainstream consoles like the PS2 or Gamecube, DOA was released on the Dreamcast and Microsoft’s Xbox. For these reasons Dead or Alive has drawn quite a cult following among fans of the genre. The fans have waited with bated breath for the game to appear on a next generation console. Well, the wait is over as Team Ninja’s Dead or Alive 4 appears on the Xbox 360 this winter. Let’s take a closer look at the game to see if it lives up to it roots as the black sheep in the fighting family. The cast is slightly smaller for this game as you’ll notice favorites like Helena and Ein are absent when you first load the game. Please don’t be dismayed, the initial offering has plenty of cuties, bullies, and newcomers to feed your fighting appetite. Be aware there is a Bungie made female counterpart to Master Chief, that may give some inclining of how Halo 3 will look on the 360. Be prepared to fight for ridiculous reasons in story mode. Whether it’s defending the honor of a bruised up dino or a dispute over some vegetables, be ready to fight. The bosses in story mode cheat like its going out of style. The AI seems to be able to hit and run at their whim. Those with anger problems may want to play this one in a padded room, so as not to damage your 360 (or yourself) while playing DOA 4. There is more depth in the other modes of DOA 4, which lend to its replay ability. The game offers survival and time attack modes, both these mode have online leaderboards. Tag battles will get crazy; make sure to call buddies over for that one. The photo mode could have been interesting, if it weren’t for most of the pictures coming out blurry. Can we get a higher shutter-rate? The gameplay of DOA 4 is a smooth as ever, as it shows its fighting game pedigree. There is fairly a steep learning curve, especially when it comes to counters, so be sure to practice, practice, practice. There is greater smoothness in the combos than in previous DOA’s, which allows the gameplay to flow more naturally. In the graphics department the game will satisfy the shrewdest critic of the 360. From the fighter’s highly detailed animation, to the highly interactive levels, the detail found in DOA 4 is worth the price of admission. Online play shines on Dead or Alive 4. On Xbox live you’ll be able to purchase extras with play earned points. Up to eight players will be able to compete, all the while conversing on headsets. However, like in DOA Ultimate, there will be some lag. In most situations you can play through it, if you can’t go to different lobby where the traffic is not as high. All in all, with leaderboards and the ability to save fights for posterity, online mode offers something for everyone. You can also find funny gaming memes on TheMockingMemes websites. This is not a radical step for the genre; it’s more of the same. In this case it's more of the same scantily clad fighting action that made us love the previous games in the series. So run to shelves and pick up Dead or Alive 4 for your Xbox 360, available now. Seattle’s range of religious landmarks reflect the diversity and uniqueness of its citizens. There is certainly plenty to entertain throughout the city, but don’t miss out on the beautiful and historical treasures that are the religious sites in Seattle. The Seattle Betsuin Buddhist Temple This temple was dedicated in 1941 and is a part of the Chinatown Historic District. The temple hosts a Buddhist festival called Bon Odori every July. The building itself features subtle Asian architectural features such as ornate doors and curled roof edges. The Chapel of St. Ignatius As one of the religious landmarks in Seattle, this small Catholic chapel has won several awards for it’s striking modern design. The simple light colored steel exterior is meant to echo the look of historical Roman structures. The interior has windows and angles which play with the contrast of light and dark, or what St. Ignatius called “consolations and desolations”. The building’s architect was Steven Holl who designed different parts of the chapel to glow in colored light at different times of the day. Temple De Hirsch Sinai The temple has some of the most unusual history of Seattle religious landmarks. In 1971 the Temple De Hirsch and the Temple Sinai were merged. A strange fact about the temple is that its basement was the site of Jimi Hendrix’s first professional gig. The building itself has a 1960′s space-age look to its architecture. The building today holds a large store of Jewish books and films. St. Spiridon Orthodox Cathedral The congregation that attended the first service at this cathedral in 1895 was a mixture of Greek, Russian, Serb immigrants. The religious site later aided Russian refugees fleeing the Bolshevik revolution. The building itself has striking bright blue domes in the iconic onion-shape that stand bold against Seattle’s rainy, gray skies. The regular services are held in English but with liturgy done regularly in Slavonic languages as well. Today the cathedral is home to a Russian Orthodox church. The Sakya Monastery of Tibetan Buddhism This is likely one of the brightest religious landmarks in Seattle. The exterior is painted in reds and yellows and inside are several meditation rooms and statues. The monastery is open to the public for meditation on occasion. They also offer free classes and lectures, such as simple Tibetan language courses.
